Paramount Home Entertainment has the horror title Rings this week, along with a Director’s Cut release for Saturday Night Fever.

Sony Pictures Classics has the animated title The Red Turtle this week, and you will also find Best Foreign Picture The Salesman and a new release for Jerry Maguire from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The critically acclaimed documentary  I am Not Your Negro hits Blu-ray this week from Magnolia Home Entertainment.

The Warner Archive Collection has Seven Days in May this week.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has a 4K release for 3:10 to Yuma featuring a new DTS:X soundtrack.

Lionsgate also has 4K releases for The Expendables and The Expendables 2, both with new Dolby Atmos audio.

Indie titles this week include Beyond the Gates from IFC and Shout! Factory, and Korean films The Age of Shadows from CJ Entertainment and Right Now Wrong Then from Grasshopper Film.

The Criterion Collection is releasing the Japanese movie Tampopo this week, along with Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish.

Documentary titles include We are X from Magnolia Home Entertainment and Microcosmos from Kino Lorber Incorporated.

Kino Lorber also have the Japanese film Anatahan, and watch for the Chinese movie Kaili Blues from Grasshopper Films.

Paramount Home Entertainment is re-releasing titles formerly released through Warner, including the Coen brothers’ version of True Grit.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has special movie cash releases for Despicable Me 3 with animated titles including Sing, Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Blu-ray

This week I took a closer look at the Warner Home Video 4K Ultra HD release for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on March 28th, 2017.

This family fantasy is a spin-off of the Harry Potter film series, written by J. K. Rowling in her screenwriting debut.

The story follows Newt Scamander as he visits 1920s New York with his case full of magical creatures.

The film received positive reviews and was the eighth highest-grossing film of 2016.

Paramount Home Entertainment has Martin Scorcese’s latest film Silence this week.

Fox Home Entertainment has the comedy title Why Him? on Blu-ray and also Why Him? on Ultra HD.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has the Korean title The Handmaiden and an Ultra HD 4K release for The Smurfs.

The Criterion Collection has a new release for the Michelangelo Antonioni movie Blow-Up on Blu-ray this week.

Other indie titles include the Italian classic Cinema Paradiso from Arrow Academy and the French horror Evolution from Shout! Factory.

Meanwhile Kino Lorber Incorporated have the documentary title Tower, the classics Fire at Sea and Lifeboat, and the Chinese movie A Great Wall on Blu-ray this week.

Doctor Strange Blu-rayThe release week February 28th Blu-ray Cover Art Gallery for 2017 features top title Doctor Strange from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

Disney also has a Blu-ray 3D for the Marvel title Doctor Strange, though as of yet we are not seeing any Ultra HD released from Disney.

We have seen pre-order options for Iron Man movies in 4K in Europe, so hopefully that is an indication that we will see 4K releases from Disney here.

Disney also has new packaging with HD digital for a number of titles, including The Princess and the Frog.

Watch for Best Picture Moonlight from Lionsgate Home Entertainment this week, along with Vestron Video release The Gate.

Paramount Home Entertainment has Allied on Blu-ray this week, as well as a 4K Ultra HD release for Allied.

Catalog titles this week include Richard Linklater’s The Before Trilogy from Criterion Collection, Ape in 3D from Kino Lorber Incorporated, and When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth from the Warner Archive Collection.
