Game of Thrones Season Six Blu-ray

The Game of Thrones: Complete Sixth Season Blu-ray set has been unleashed by HBO Home Video this week on November 15th, 2016.

The season premiered on April 24, 2016 and mostly extends the story from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.

The fan favourite show is filmed primarily in Northern Ireland, Spain, and Croatia.

Game of Thrones won 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama.

Warner has the long awaited Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season from HBO Home Video, along with a Blu-ray set for Game of Thrones: The Complete Seasons 1-6.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment also has a television Blu-ray release with Better Call Saul: Season Two – as does Paramount with Star Trek: The Animated Series.

There are lots of indie titles this week, including David Cronenberg’s Dead Ringers, and Death of a Salesman from Shout! Factory.

The Criterion Collection has the long awaited Paul Thomas Anderson film Punch-Drunk Love, Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams and Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless on Blu-ray this week.

Kino Lorber Incorporated has a wide range including Daisy Kenyon, Cry of the City, Fort Tilden and Cosmos.

Lastly watch for Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes from Olive Films and Mia Madre from Music Box Films Home Entertainment.

Fans can now get the complete series with Downton Abbey: The Complete Collection from PBS Home Video.

The Criterion Collection is focusing on Guillermo del Toro this week, with both Pan’s Labyrinth and Trilogia de Guillermo del Toro, along with the Robert Altman movie Short Cuts.

4K Ultra HD fans will like the UHD release for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, which features Dolby Atmos audio for the Mandarin soundtrack.

Sony also has Supreme Cinema Series versions for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on Blu-ray Disc and the Ultra HD version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, both with Atmos audio.

Lastly for Warner there is a repackage for the Harry Potter movies, from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Part 2.

MGM Home Entertainment are releasing the television Blu-ray title Vikings: Season 4 Volume 1.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has the video game inspired Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV this week.

Showtime title Penny Dreadful: The Final Season is available from Paramount Home Entertainment.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment is releasing indie titles Into the Forest and Joshy on Blu-ray this week.

Other indie titles include the Korean movie The Wailing from Well Go USA and Robert Altman’s Nashville from the Criterion Collection.

All in all it is a pretty big week!

Shout! Factory also has the IMAX title Humpback Whales with 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray 3D versions, as well as a regular Blu-ray edition of Humpback Whales.

Independent titles include the Tom Hiddleston movie High-Rise from Magnolia Home Entertainment.

Game of Thrones The Complete Sixth Season Blu-ray

Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season has been announced by HBO Home Video, scheduled for a November 15th, 2016 release.

This fantasy drama television series is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s series A Song of Ice and Fire.

The show was created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

The series won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2015.

Fox Home Entertainment has a big week, with The Martian: Extended Edition on Blu-ray Disc and both the original Independence Day and The Martian: Extended Edition on the new 4K Ultra HD format.

Fox also has re-release titles, including The Descendants and Life of Pi on Blu-ray 3D.

Other Ultra HD titles include both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and the IMAX title Journey to Space from Shout! Factory, which also comes with the Blu-ray 3D edition.

Foreign and art house titles this week include The Confirmation from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, Le Amiche from Criterion Collection, A War from Magnolia Home Entertainment, and The Best Intentions from Film Movement.

Criterion Collection has a new A Whit Stillman Trilogy: Metropolitan / Barcelona / The Last Days of Disco release, as well as a single release for Barcelona this week.

Peter Fonda movie Ulee’s Gold hits Blu-ray this week from Kino Lorber Incorporated, while Olive Films has Russian film The Fool in this week’s releases.

Magnolia Home Entertainment has the documentary title Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The Story of the National Lampoon this week.
