Gary Dauberman wrote the screenplay for this supernatural horror film.

It is a prequel to Annabelle, and the fourth installment in The Conjuring series.

The movie is effectively the origin story for the possessed Annabelle doll.

The film has grossed over $304 million worldwide against a $15M budget.

This science fiction action film was written by Jamie Moss, William Wheeler, and Ehren Kruger.

The film is based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow.

The story is set in a near future, when the line between humans and robots is blurred, and a cyborg supersoldier seeks out her past.

Mark Frost and David Lynch collaborated to create this television serial drama.

The show follows an FBI investigation headed by Special Agent Dale Cooper into the murder of Laura Palmer.

It takes place in the fictional town of Twin Peaks, Washington.

The Conjuring 2 is the latest Blu-ray title from Warner Home Video, released on September 13th, 2016.

Carey and Chad Hayes, James Wan and David Leslie Johnson penned the screenplay for this horror thriller.

It is a direct sequel to The Conjuring from 2013, though is the third movie in the franchise if you count the spinoff Annabelle.

The story again follows paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

August 23rd, 2016 marks the arrival of the Warner Home Video Blu-ray release for The Nice Guys.

Shane Black and Anthony Bagarozzi wrote the screenplay for this dark comedy thriller, with Black also directing it.

The story follows a private detective and an enforcer who end up working together to find a missing girl.

The film received positive reviews, but ended up with just  moderate financial success in the cinema.

The story for the show revolves around an artificial intelligence that monitors the population for signs of crime.

The machine then notifies the team of people that will be a victim or perpetrator of a crime.

The team has a new foe in the form of an opposing AI with greater resources.

This action thriller was written by Douglas Cook and David Weisberg.

The story is about a convict who is implanted with a dead CIA agent’s memories in order to finish an assignment.

The film features Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones in their first movie together since JFK.

Hail, Caesar! is the latest Coen brothers movie, released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment on Blu-ray Disc June 7th, 2016.

This mystery comedy was written and produced by Joel and Ethan Coen.

The film was originally set to take place in the 1920s, but the idea was shelved.

The story now follows Hollywood “fixer” Eddie Mannix in the 1950s, trying to discover what happened to the leading actor who vanishes during filming.

Person of Interest: The Complete Fifth and Final Season has been announced by Warner Home Video for release on Blu-ray Disc July 19th, 2016.

This Sci-Fi thriller, which features an AI machine that predicts crimes and notifies the team in advance, has become a favourite.

At the end of season four, the competing AI run by Decima had tracked down the machine, forcing Finch and the others to try to capture the program into a portable storage system.

A key classic film release this week was the Criterion Collection’s In a Lonely Place – on Blu-ray Disc May 10th, 2016.

This 1950 film noir features Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Grahame, and is based on the novel by Dorothy B. Hughes.

Bogart stars as Dixon Steele, a troubled screenwriter suspected of murder, and Grahame is Laurel Gray, a neighbor who falls for Steele’s charm.

Bogart’s performance is considered by many critics to be among his finest.
