La La Land is a new key Blu-ray title released by Lionsgate Home Entertainment on April 25th, 2017.

Damien Chazelle both wrote the screenplay and directed this romantic musical comedy-drama.

The story follows a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles.

The movie has grossed $440 million worldwide on a production budget of $30 million.

October is a great month for Prince fans with the Blu-ray release of the Prince Movie Collection from Warner Home Video on October 4th, 2016.

The collection brings together the iconic movie Purple Rain, along with the followups Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge.

Purple Rain was somewhat of a biographical film about Prince and was quite a collaborative process, while the latter feel more like vanity projects for the famed musician.

October 18th, 2016 will mark the arrival of the new Universal Studios Home Entertainment Blu-ray release for The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection.

Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo Marx feature in five of their most popular titles for the musical comedy collection.

The films include The Cocoanuts, Animal Crackers, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers and Duck Soup.

All been restored with new 4K transfers for the collection.

September 20th, 2016 will mark the arrival of the new Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment 25th Anniversary Blu-ray release for Beauty and the Beast.

This animated musical romantic fantasy was the 30th film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

The film is part of the so called Disney Renaissance period.

The story is based on the French fairy tale by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont and ideas from Jean Cocteau’s 1946 film.

March 8th, 2016 will mark the arrival of the new Universal Studios Home Entertainment Xanadu Blu-ray release.

This musical fantasy film was written by Richard Christian Danus and Marc Reid Rubel.

The title refers to the nightclub in the film, and comes from the poem Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

The film features music by Newton-John, Electric Light Orchestra, Cliff Richard, and The Tubes.

February 2nd, 2016 will mark the arrival of the new Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment Signature Edition Blu-ray release for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

This animated musical fantasy was originally released by RKO Radio Pictures in 1937.

Based on the German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, it was the first full-length cel animated feature film, and as such was the first in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

This musical fantasy film was adapted to the screen by James Lapine from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.

It is inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel.

The story is centered on a childless couple who were cursed by a vengeful witch.

Be sure to watch for the upcoming Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Blu-ray release Annie – on Blu-ray Disc March 17th, 2015.

This new musical comedy-drama film is a contemporary adaptation of the 1977 Broadway musical of the same name, which was in turn based upon the 1924 comic strip Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray.

It is the third film adaptation, following Columbia’s 1982 theatrical film and Disney’s 1999 television film.
