Muriel, or The Time of Return is one of the new titles from the Criterion Collection this week, with a July 19th, 2016 Blu-ray release.

The French title Muriel ou le Temps d’un retour was released in 1963 and was Alain Resnais’s third feature film.

Like his previous features, Muriel explores the challenge rationalizing the past with the present.

The film also makes reference to the controversial subject of the Algerian war.

White God is latest foreign title unleashed by Magnolia Home Entertainment – on Blu-ray Disc July 28th, 2015.

The movie’s title is the literal translation of the original Hungarian title Fehér isten.

The film won the Prize Un Certain Regard at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, and the dogs in the film were awarded with the Palm Dog Award.

White God was also the Hungarian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film for the 87th Academy Awards.
