Looks like it is time for a second Blu Raspberry retraction - again one I am very happy to make.
While I was disappointed when a new Heathers DVD was released with no Blu-ray counterpart, Home Media Magazine is reporting in their Comic-Con round up that Heathers writer Dan Waters promoted the Anchor Bay August Blu-ray release of Heathers at the show.
I see today that Amazon has a new Buy 2, Get 1 Free Blu-ray Sale.
This sale covers a number of studios’ releases including Paramount, Fox, Lions Gate, Starz, Image Entertainment, Funimation and even BCI Eclipse - 109 titles in total.
Perhaps a great opportunity to get some of those more obscure studio releases or Paramount releases at a decent discount.

It looks like Fox is releasing a box set for Boston Legal covering the first four seasons! Twentieth Century Fox is planning Boston Legal - Seasons 1-4 for Blu-ray on September 23th, 2008. Don’t they know that this date has a lot of expensive releases already?! In any case, the retail price will be $229.92, pre-order at Amazon for $159.95 - $40 per season is not bad!
Best Buy has a new promotion for Blu-ray titles this week.
Choose from a selection of Blu-ray titles from the likes of Starz, Lions Gate and Platinum Disc and get two for $25. While some of the discs are budget titles, great savings can be had.

Well, it is that time of week again - the time I gripe about some new release on DVD that we will not get to see in High Definition.

While we appreciate the efforts that Starz has put into their Blu-ray efforts to date, surely Heathers is one of their more popular titles - the kind of thing that people would want to revisit in High Definition.
