Be sure to watch for the upcoming Walt Disney Studios Blu-ray release Into the Woods – on Blu-ray Disc March 24th, 2015.

This musical fantasy film was adapted to the screen by James Lapine from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.

It is inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel.

The story is centered on a childless couple who were cursed by a vengeful witch.

Into the Woods received three Academy Award nominations for the 87th Academy Awards and also three Golden Globe Award nominations.

The cast includes Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Tracey Ullman, Christine Baranski and Johnny Depp.

Into the Woods was directed by Rob Marshall, who also helmed films like Memoirs of a Geisha, NinePirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Chicago.

The movie received predominantly positive reviews, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 71% and an IMDb score of 6.3/10.

Into the Woods was also successful in the cinema, reaching $126.7M at the US box office.

Planned features for the disc include a 1080p video encode presented at 2.39:1, with lossless 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

A commentary, featurettes, and karaoke sing-a-long features are also planned.
