White House Down has been announced by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for release on Blu-ray Disc November 5th, 2013.

This action film is about a paramilitary assault on the White House.

A cop who was recently rejected by the Secret Service is the President’s only hope for survival.

The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt, one of the film’s producers.

The cast includes Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins and James Woods.

White House Down was directed by Roland Emmerich, famous for action films like The Patriot, The Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day, 10,000 BC, Stargate, Godzilla, and 2012.

The movie received mixed reviews, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 48%, and an IMDb score of 6.4/10.

White House Down earned $72.8M at the US box office.

Planned features for the disc include an 1080p encode presented at 2.40:1, along with lossless 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

A gag reel and numerous featurettes are also included.

Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx).
