Amazon Continues to Add $7.99 Blu-ray Titles to Promotion

weddingcrashers.jpgAmazon has added a number of new titles to their list of $7.99 Warner Home Video titles.

Most recently added are Wedding Crashers, Ocean’s Eleven and Alexander, Revisited - The Final Cut.

Certainly $8 is a great price for Blu-ray movies, and there are some nice titles here.

    Ok I know the whole blue ray thing is great. And they are pushing it with promotions. But I like Microsoft’s take. As soon as blue ray won the war on HD DVD format, Microsoft decide to invest a huge amount of money in to stream HD movies over the internet. Some companies are already doing this. Like Pay Per View on your local cable box.

    There are many advantages to packaged media, especially at this pricing level.

    Streaming is more competition with the rental market than the sell through market.
