Tomorrow marks the arrival of the upcoming DreamWorks release Eagle Eye at Amazon, December 28th elsewhere.

Eagle Eye is one of the Paramount and DreamWorks titles that has been moved up to a Saturday release date in order to take advantage of the ‘after Christmas’ shoppers.

The movie follows the journey of two apparent complete strangers that have been called up and ‘activated’ by a mysterious woman who appears to be able to see all and control anything that is networked in any way, shape or form.

As far as action movies go I found this to be a pretty enjoyable popcorn flick.

Eagle Eye was directed by D.J. Caruso, who also directed Disturbia for DreamWorks as well as Taking Lives and The Salton Sea.

The movie was not well received by the critics, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 27%, though it fared better on IMDb with a score of 6.8/10 - which is closer to what I think it deserved.

Eagle Eye did well in the cinema, reaching $99.7M at the US box office.

The video on the disc is an AVC 1080p encode at 29.5 Mbps, and is presented in its original aspect ratio of 2.35:1.

The main audio is lossless Dolby True HD with 5.1 channels - 24 bits resolution at 48 kHz.

The disc is a dual layer BD50, with 43.8 GB used and is coded for All Regions.

If you are looking for a fun action flick, I recommend this latest release from Paramount Home Entertainment and DreamWorks.
