Up to now we have seen the studios largely targeting the ‘Playstation’ demographic with their Blu-ray releases, ranging from Super Hero action flicks like Iron Man, Dark Knight and Incredible Hulk to the comedy releases like Witless Protection.
One market that has seen little attention is the kids and family market.
The exception to that rule has to be Disney. With both their blockbuster Pixar releases and classic Disney animation, Disney has delivered the goods.
Disney has also been one of the few to cater to the young teens on Blu-ray Disc with releases like Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour and High School Musical 2.
The latest release for that market segment, The Cheetah Girls: One World, will be released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment tomorrow.
