Just after mentioning that Iron Man is racing to the million unit mark, Warner Home Video has attempted to trump the achievement, stating that their Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight will ship over a million units to retailers for the street date in early December, in good time for Holiday Season cheer.

Easily the most anticipated release of the year, The Dark Knight is expected to break all kinds of sales records, and with this news could potentially sell a million in its first week of release.

The disc certainly has a lot going for it - being not only the second highest box office ever, but also being loaded with features including the first network BD Live features from Warner.

I will certainly be early in line to get this one…!
