Buyers of new Sony Blu-ray Disc players this fall will get the chance to see spectacular high-definition programming from the Discovery Channel and HD Theater, due to a co-promotional agreement between Sony and Discovery.

People who purchase select Sony Blu-ray players will receive a gift-with-purchase coupon, redeemable for an exclusive HD program sampler Discovery on Blu-ray Disc featuring episodes from Fearless Planet and Sunrise Earth.

The two-week promotion starts October 5th at over 11,000 retailers in the U.S., including leading chains like Sony Style, Circuit City and Sears.

Sony will also showcase the Discovery on Blu-ray Disc footage with an in-store trailer that will run on Sony Bravia televisions at the retail locations.
