Import Watch France: Dead Man, Wild at Heart and Requiem for a Dream

I see some great titles added at Amazon France today.
Quite a number of new titles have been listed to be released by Aventi and BAC - including a number of US ‘art house’ films. I am certainly hoping for good quality releases that are coded for all regions!
Dead Man is scheduled for release by BAC on November 5th, 2008.
This Black and White shot ‘anti-western’ from Jim Jarmusch features Johnny Depp and one of my favourite Jarmusch films.
Sailor & Lula is the French title for David Lynch’s Wild at Heart, and will also be released by BAC on November 5th.
The Darren Aronofsky movie Requiem for a Dream has been scheduled by Aventi for release on November 18th, 2008.
This clever though somewhat disturbing movie features Jennifer Connelly, Jared Leto and Ellen Burstyn.
Another great film that I am excited to see listed is C’est arrive pres de chez vous - which is known to the rest of the world as Man Bites Dog - due for release December 2nd.
This Belgian movie is in French, so as well as potential region coding problems there may not be any English language support either - but I can hope!
Other releases listed by Aventi include Golden Door, Le Déclin de l’Empire Americain + Les Invasions Barbares, Jacques La Mecque, Fairplay, La Guerre du Feu, Itinéraire d’un Enfant Gaté - all due on November 18th, 2008.
Releases from BAC include Scorpion, La Véritable Histoire du Petit Chaperon Rouge, The Barber, Scary Movie 2, Chasseurs de Dragons and Miss Potter - all scheduled for November 5th, 2008.
