revolver.jpgA couple of the releases in today’s new pre-order list are titles I have been hoping to see released for quite some time.

First up, Revolver has been freshly listed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, scheduled for a November 11th, 2008 release.

This is the most recent movie from Guy Ritchie, famous for directing Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

I missed it at the cinema and have been waiting patiently for a Blu-ray presentation that isn’t an expensive import.

The retail price will be $28.95, pre-order at Amazon for $20.95.

Hey Sony, what about releasing Snatch as well!

Sony has also announced the release of Southland Tales for November 11th, 2008.

This one is the latest film by Richard Kelly, the director of Donnie Darko - and as such is another titles I was hoping to see released.

Retail will be $28.95, the Amazon price - only $20.95.

While these two were not well received at the cinema, I am glad that they will see a wider audience on Blu-ray Disc.

Fans of Martin Lawrence rejoice - Sony Pictures is planning to release National Security and Blue Streak on November 18th, 2008.

Note that in the UK they are also planning to release Bad Boys, so don’t be surprised to see that title listed in the near future also.

Retail for these two has been set at $28.95, again bargain hunters will find them at Amazon for $20.95.

Lastly for today, Magnolia has What Just Happened? coming to Blu-ray Disc.

Retail for this Barry Levinson film staring Robert De Niro and Stanley Tucci is set at $34.98 - pre-order at Amazon for only $25.95.
