The Amityville Horror on Blu-ray for in Time for Halloween

MGM is planning to release Amityville Horror on October 7th, 2008, in good time for Halloween.

This is the 1979 version of the movie - which if I recall correctly was rumoured for last year but never release.

Retail has been set at $39.98, bargain hunters will find it at Amazon for only $27.95.

October 7th should be a GREAT pre-Halloween Blu-ray day! Both Brian DePalma’s Carrie (from the Stephen King novel), and Richard Donner’s original The Omen are due that day. There’s also lots of creepy laughs with the 20th anniversary Beetlejuice disc due that day. He’s the ghost with the most…

I am very much looking forward to Beetlejuice. Once of my favourite Burton movies.

Original Omen is great too.
