Japan is of course region A like the US. If you look closely at the cover art, it has the DTS-HD Master Audio logo on the cover, so it should rock - assuming you have Master Audio decoding capability. My Blueberry Nights also appears to be the Japanese release. Ronin looks like the Japanese release of the movie.

I think that the Asian movies are coming in from Korea, so it is possible that is the source of Ronin also. I don't have anything further than that for Ronin. The Korean release of Lust, Caution has 7.1 PCM audio, so perhaps there is a good chance that Ronin has lossless audio. No guarantees of course...
