Dr Strangelove and Taxi Driver Destined for Blu-ray Release

Looks like we have more classic catalog coming from directors Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick, courtesy of Sony.
Sony Pictures is planning to release Taxi Driver, though no date has been specified as of yet.
This 1976 Scorsese classic features Robert de Niro, Cybill Shepherd, Jodie Foster and Harvey Keitel.

Sony Pictures is also planning to release Dr. Strangelove, again no date has been given. This is one of the few well kown Kubrick movies that is not controlled by Warner.

If you bought Postal and are already craving more Uwe Boll for your blu-ray collection, In The Name Of The King will be released by Fox Home Entertainment on December 16th, 2008.

If real horror is more your style, Shriek Show will be releasing Flesh for The Beast and Shadow: Dead Riot on Blu-ray Disc on November 25th, 2008.

On the documentary side, Smithsonian Networks is planning to release Stories From the Vault: Season One and America’s Greatest Monuments: Washington D.C. on September 23rd, 2008.
