hancock.jpgA number of interesting UK titles have been added lately.

A couple of high profile releases have been given UK street dates. Hancock will come from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment UK on December 1st.

Iron Man is coming from Paramount Home Entertainment on October 27th, 2008.

On to stuff we wish we were getting - Army Of Darkness - Evil Dead 3 will be released by Optimum Home Entertainment on September 22nd, 2008. Optimum have been all over the map with both quality and region coding, so it is hard to say if this one will be worth the import.

It is really great to see that P2 has been listed by Palisades for September 29th, 2008. This title was part of the now defunct Tartan collection, so it great so see that Palisades intends to keep working to release titles on Blu-ray Disc.

Chocolate, from Scanbox Entertainment on November 3rd, looks to be a Thai martial arts movie. This is the only Scanbox title on our radar, so it is hard to say what to expect other than English language support.

Scanbox isn’t the only ‘little guy’ with new titles.

Artificial Eye is planning Lou Reed’s Berlin for October 6th, and Michael Haneke’s Hidden on October 27th, 2008

Fremantle Home Entertainment has Cabaret and Straw Dogs coming on November 24th, 2008

Pathe Distribution will release The Business and Outlaw on October 6th, 2008.

Pathe also will distribute the US Sony titles Resident Evil, Silent Hill and House Of Flying Daggers on October 6th. It will be very interesting to see if the Pathe release of Flying Daggers is an improvement over the much criticised Sony release.

Lastly, 2 Entertain Video is planning Pride And Prejudice for October 20th, and Manchester United - Champions League Final on September 29th, 2008.
