Neil Young Blu-ray Archives Release Gets a Date

neilyoung.jpgNeil Young’s Archives Volume One 1963-1972 collection is planned for release on November 3rd.

The Blu-ray/DVD collection will cover 10-discs and is expected to contain live sets including the 1971 show Live At Massey Hall and the 1970 show Live At The Fillmore East.

Additionally, never released studio tracks, demos and artwork are expected.

The original announcement for the set was at the Sun JavaOne conference and stressed the interactivity planned on the Blu-ray set, noting that fans would be able to download more songs, photos and tour information via their BD Live enabled players.

It is great to see artists like Young create new reasons to buy their music. I certainly hope Pink Floyd is paying attention!
