shawshank.jpgI see a wide range of new titles up for UK Blu-ray release.

ITV DVD is planning the Frank Darabont classic The Shawshank Redemption for release on November 10th, 2008. ITV also has The Ipcress File on the same day.

Disney is planning Wall-E for November 24th - now we just need to get a US release date!

The Kingdom has been listed by Universal Pictures UK for release on December 1st, 2008. This is one of the Universal titles that many have been waiting for.

Additionally, Universal Pictures UK has listed the movie Mongol (which is in Mongolian) for release on September 29th. No doubt there will be English language support - it will be interesting to see if there is any region restrictions.

Lastly from Universal, The Incredible Hulk has been scheduled for release on October 13th, 2008.

It seems that Universal is following the pattern of the other studios, fixing release dates in Europe prior to formal release date info in the USA!

Second Sight has listed Baraka: Remastered for release on November 10th.

AC/DC - No Bull has been listed by Sony BMG for release on September 8th.

The Italian movie The Red Desert is coming from BFI Video on October 20th.

Pathe Distribution has scheduled Adulthood for an October 13th release.

Lastly, Walt Disney Studios has Sleeping Beauty scheduled for release on October 27th, 2008

Shawshank was announced for Blu-Ray in the US for November 4th at the beginning of the year by Warner. The release information is found on HighdefDigest.com.

It will be interesting to compare the Warner Shawshank release with the ITV DVD version.
