H is for Heathers, Hulk and Hell Ride on Blu-ray Disc

Looks like today’s new releases are brought to you by the letter H.
I am very happy to see that Video Treasures is planning to release Heathers on November 18th, 2008. I can only assume that Video Treasures is somehow related to Anchor Bay / Starz. In any case, retail will be $29.97, only $20.95 at Amazon.
Playing more catch up with their discontinued HD DVD line, Universal Studios will be releasing Hulk on Blu-ray Disc on September 16th, 2008. Expect the features of the HD DVD, including the U-Control Picture in Picture, with the addition of DTS-HD Master Audio sound. The retail price will be $29.98, pre-order at Amazon for $20.95.
Hell Ride has been freshly listed for an October 28th release by the Weinstein Company, another previously HD DVD exclusive supporter. Great to see them on board with Blu-ray for this movie, which has Quentin Tarantino as an executive producer, and is expected to become a cult hit.
The retail price will be $29.95, pre-order at Amazon for $20.95.
A few music related titles listed also, though two appear to have been a little short lived.
Oddly, shortly after Andrea Bocelli - Vivere - Live In Tuscany and Take That - Ultimate Tour were listed for August 5th, both are re-listed as discontinued by the manufacturer.
On the plus side, Harmonia Mundi USA has announced Mozart: Don Giovanni for Blu-ray on September 9th, 2008. This one has been announced all over Europe so it is nice to see it arrive in the USA also. Retail has been set at $49.98, bargain hunters will find it at Amazon for only $34.95.
