Sex and the City, Baby Mama, Sinbad and Carrie Headed to Blu-ray

A number of new releases today from studios big and small…
Baby Mama has been freshly listed by Universal Studios, scheduled for a September 9th, 2008 release. Retail for this comedy release will be $39.98, only $25.95 at Amazon.
Universal Studios will also be releasing Strangers on Blu-ray Disc on October 21st, 2008. Retail again will be $39.98, the Amazon price is $27.95.
Sex and the City will be released by Warner Home Video on September 23rd, 2008. It will be interesting to see if this theatrical hit, with over $150M at the box office, will do well also on Blu-ray Disc. Retail will be $35.99, only $24.95 at Amazon.
Sony Pictures is releasing Seventh Voyage of Sinbad on October 7th, 2008. Retail will be $28.95, the Amazon price - only $19.95.
Sony Pictures has also announced the release of the Ray Harryhausen Box Set for October 7th, 2008. Retail has been set at $107.95, bargain hunters will find it at Amazon for only $74.95.
Mad Money will be released by Starz / Anchor Bay on November 18th, 2008. Retail will be $39.98, only $27.95 at Amazon.
Mpi Home Video will be releasing Carlin - It’s Bad for Ya’ on Blu-ray Disc on November 25th, 2008. I saw this on HBO-HD and it is a great show. Carlin will certainly be missed. Retail will be $24.98, the Amazon price - only $16.95.
Mpi Home Video also has Becket coming to Blu-ray on November 25th, 2008. The retail price is $34.98, you can pre-order it at Amazon for only $23.95.
Young Frankenstein has been listed by 20th Century Fox, scheduled for a October 7th, 2008 release. It looks like it will be a great package. The retail price will be $39.98, pre-order at Amazon for $27.95.
La Boheme will be released by BBC / Opus Arte on August 26th, 2008. Retail is set at $39.99, pre-order at Amazon for only $31.95.
BBC / Opus Arte also has Il Trovatore coming to Blu-ray on August 26th. Retail this time $45.98, though once again the Amazon price is only $31.95.
Carrie has been freshly listed by MGM, scheduled for a October 7th, 2008 release. Retail will be $39.98, the Amazon price - only $27.95.
Koch Vision will be releasing Jewel: The Essential Live Songbook on Blu-ray Disc on October 14th, 2008. Retail will be $29.99, only $20.95 at Amazon.
Last not least, City Light Entertainment has re-announced Kiss of The Spider Woman for Blu-ray on October 21st, 2008. The retail price will be $39.98, pre-order at Amazon for $27.95.
