Import Watch UK: Equilibrium, Tudors Season 2 and Top Gear

Equilibrium has been listed by Momentum Pictures for Blu-ray release on September 15th, 2008. This Sci-fi thriller from 2002 featuring Christian Bale and Sean Bean has somewhat of a cult following and was previously available as an HD DVD import from Japan. It is perhaps fitting that it will become an import from the UK for Blu-ray Disc, assuming region compatibility.
The Tudors - Series 2 - Complete has been scheduled by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for October 13th, 2008. Season 1 as coded for all regions, so there is some hope that the second season will be also.
Sony has a few other releases freshly scheduled including My Best Friend’s Wedding on September 29th, horror genre films Zombie Strippers! and Prom Night on October 13th, and classic Sci Fi It Came From Beneath The Sea and Earth vs The Flying Saucers also on October 13th, 2008.
Lastly, the new version of Casino Royale will be released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on October 20th, 2008.
Top Gear enthusiasts will be pleased to see Top Gear - The Great Adventures - Polar Special listed by 2 Entertain Video on October 20th, 2008.
Sophie Scholl - The Final Days is being released by Blu-ray newcomer Drakes Avenue Pictures on October 27th, 2008.
More thrillers from Optimum Home Entertainment with the release of While She Was Out on November 3rd and Donkey Punch on November 10th, 2008.
A number of studios are catching up with US releases, including Disney with The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 6th and Tinker Bell on November 10th, Paramount Home Entertainment with Shrek the Third on November 17th, Warner with Pushing Daisies - Complete Season 1 on September 15th and Smallville - The Complete Sixth Season and Smallville - The Complete Seventh Season on October 13th, 2008 and lastly The Forbidden Kingdom from Lions Gate Home Entertainment on November 17th, 2008.
