Forgetting Sarah Marshall to Head to Blu-ray Disc

forgettingsarahmarshall.jpgOne of the better movies I saw at the cinema this year was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. DVD Times is reporting that this title is now scheduled for Blu-ray Disc release Day and Date with the DVD in an extensive single disc edition on September 30th.

This release will feature both the Theatrical (111mins) and Extended (118mins) Cuts on a dual layer disc with an English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio sound track - hopefully using seamless branching - and if so hopefully a new trend for Universal.

The extras are wide and varied and include BD Live, Picture in Picture commentary (extended cut), Deleted/Extended/Alternate Scenes, Gag reel, Red Band Trailer and a whole swag of featurettes, music videos, etc.

There will apparently also be a box set with this title plus The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

Personally I really enjoy this style of movie, and considering the alternate cut and extras I will certainly be getting this one - or perhaps the box of three.
