Market Share and Revenue Up for a Little for Week Ending June 29th

Posted in Market Share on July 7th, 2008 by Dave

hmm07.jpgSadly another week without Blu-ray Top 20 charts in the Home Media Magazine this week - presumably due to the holiday weekend. Hopefully it is not a trend!

As such the news is limited - Blu-ray Disc achieved 7 percent of the market share versus DVD based on the top 20 titles and the revenues were up a little to $8.88M dollars that week.

The top selling title for the week was 10,000 B.C. - hardly a surprise.

Hopefully the next issue will be back to normal and we will see some interesting rankings in terms of sales and percentage market share…

10,000 B.C. looks and sounds amazing, saw it on BD at a friend’s house. Warner didn’t send us a copy to review so I’m not in any hurry to do it’s review but I will say the movie itself looks absolutely retarded as in plot, story

I never had much desire to see that one … it just seemed silly.
