We see over at DVD Times that some details have been shared by Universal about their upcoming Day and Date releases.

Leatherheads is planned for late August or September. I saw this George Clooney directed film at the cinema and found it to be a very fun film, quite reminiscent of O Brother Where Art Thou.

It looks like this title is getting treated well by Universal with features including Picture-in-Picture Commentary with director George Clooney and producer Grant Heslov, Visual Effects Sequences and featurettes Football’s Beginning: The Making of Leatherheads, No Pads, No Fear: Creating the Rowdy Football Scenes and George Clooney: A Leatherheads Prankster.

Baby Mama is currently expected to release around September 9th. This comedy features SNL crew Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Special features will include a Commentary with writer/director Michael McCullers and cast members Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Alternate Ending and Deleted Scenes, The Making of Baby Mama and Saturday Night Live: Legacy of Laughter.

It is great to have Universal on board with Blu-ray Disc and I am looking forward to their releases which begin hitting the shelves this month.
