Over at HighDefDiscNews we see that the guys have some new Universal Studios Blu-ray Discs to play with - and they come with an insert that gives some view into the new titles coming to Blu-ray Disc from the studio.

Many of these are somewhat expected, but with such a large body of title on HD DVD it is perhaps interesting to see which ones will be the first few to make the transition to Blu-ray Disc.

According to the insert we can expect titles including Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Jarhead, Serenity, The Hulk, Knocked Up, The Thing, American Gangster, Happy Gilmore, U-571 and The Kingdom.

Firmly in rumour territory, we see at a French forum site some potentially leaked upcoming Universal Blu-ray releases for France. Titles include Gladiator, Dobermann, Hero, Wanted, Scarface, Bourne Trilogy and Battlestar Galactica.

It says it is official, but personally I wouldn’t trust everything you read on the internet!

As previously noted, it is great to have Universal finally on board!
