The more observant Blu-ray Stats users will have noticed that the navigation bar now takes you to a new page for displaying the disc statistics.

While things look very similar to the original page, the underlying database for this new page is also completely new, and designed to be more flexible and to have many more fields on which to search and filter. You can get an idea of some of these fields if you look at the details page for one of the discs. I have been working on the new database for months to ensure best possible accuracy for the new data as well as the best match back to the old database.

As well as the new database, the page has been optimized better to load faster, as the number of discs in the list gets larger. My long term goal is to make a number of stats pages that displays different fields, depending on what aspect of the titles is of primary interest.

You may also notice that the studio pie chart has been simplified - DreamWorks has been rolled into Paramount and New Line into Warner, as well as all others now being rolled into Other. We also opened a spot for Universal!

Please feel free to poke around the new page - the old page will remain though the database will no longer be updated.
