Import Watch France: Kirikou Movies Scheduled

We see that three Kirikou movies have been scheduled for release in France. While I am not familiar with these movies, they appear to be animated films and the DVD and UMD versions are released by France Télévisions.

The new Blu-ray discs will include Kirikou et la sorcière, Kirikou et les betes sauvages and Kirikou et karaba - all on August 20th, 2008.

We also see the Korean film Ya-soo (aka Running Wild) on August 20th, 2008 - I would not expect any English language support on this release.

For completeness, there are also a number of new Gaumont/Sony releases, which will be largely available in most regions:
I Know What You Did Last Summer, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban legends on August 6th, 2008, In the Line of Fire, So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep and Anger Management on August 20th.

Kirikou et Karaba isn’t a film, it’s a recording of the stage musical based on the films (it shares their writer, director and story but has many more songs, as the original film wasn’t really a musical).
