According to Video Business, the Blu-ray Disc releases of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Collector’s Edition on August 26th 2008 will feature Digital Copy.

The studio has branded the included copy ‘Disneyfile,’ suggesting that future titles could also carry this feature.

Extras on the Nightmare Before Christmas Blu-ray include an introduction by Burton, which exclusive to the Blu-ray edition.

Other extras are an original poem penned by Burton that is narrated by actor Christopher Lee, and an audio commentary from Burton, director Henry Selick and composer Danny Elfman.

There will be featurettes including a tour of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride and a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Nightmare Before Christmas. Perhaps the most interesting feature - Burton’s short film Vincent is also included.

Nightmare Before Christmas on Blu-ray Disc will street for $39.99 (there will also be a new DVD release for $32.99 and a limited edition Ultimate Collector’s standard DVD set for $179.99) . It will be a good year for Tim Burton releases, since Warner is also releasing Beetle Juice!
