Quite a number of new titles showed up at Amazon France today for release in August.

While details are thin, there are certainly some interesting English language titles as well as some Asian and French titles that may be a bit more difficult for ‘us’ to follow.

For August 27th we see Guy Ritchie’s Revolver - a title I have personally been meaning to see but surprisingly hard to get.

On the same day we have Danny the Dog, the Jet Li movie known as Unleashed in the USA which was HD DVD exclusive being a Universal release here.

Also The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a film featuring and directed by Tommy Lee Jones.

On the same day we also see a number of Asian titles including Tigerblade, Baramui Fighter and Ong-bak, though the chances of English subtitles don’t seem high unless these releases are intended to cover the whole of Europe.

Lastly it is interesting to see Asterix at the Olympic Games for August 22nd. Looks like this French film was not entirely well received but it is good to see ‘local’ movies getting Blu-ray releases in Europe.
