We read over at TV Shows on DVD that they’ve gotten advanced, inside word that Transformers will be coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 2nd, in a 2-Disc Special Edition (similar to last year’s HD DVD version).

Of course on the internet anyone can say anything, so I wouldn’t take it as gospel per se.

We were kind of expecting a tie in between Transformers and Iron Man releases - the latter is being released in October in France so it is not out of the question that it will be September in the USA. The US release of Iron Man at Amazon is currently number 11 in the top DVD sales, even without a release date specified. Obviously it will be a key title for Paramount this year, along with Indiana Jones…
