Prison Break Season 3, Get Smart Spin Off and The Ruins for Blu-ray Release

prisonbreak.jpgPrison Break - Season Three will be released by Fox on August 26th, 2008. It is not clear what happened to Season 2 (Season 1 has been previously released). Retail has been set at $79.98, bargain hunters will find it at Amazon for only $55.95.

Get Smart’s Bruce and Lloyd out of Control will be released by Warner Home Video on July 1st, 2008. This ‘direct-to-video’ title features Get Smart stars Masi Oka of (from Heroes) and Nate Torrance in their own adventure as a tie in with the theatrical release of Get Smart. Retail is set at $35.99, pre-order at Amazon for only $25.15.

While it didn’t do so well as the US Box Office, Paramount will release The Ruins on Blu-ray Disc, though no date has been set (Day and Date with the DVD is expected). The retail price is $39.99, you can pre-order it at Amazon for only $27.95.

Budget label Platinum Disc has a trio of releases for July. Firstly there is Mortuary on July 29th, 2008. Retail will be $13.98, only $8.95 at Amazon.

Platinum Disc has also announced the release of Salvage for July 29th. Retail has also been set at $13.98, find it at Amazon for only $8.95.

Lastly Platinum Disc will be releasing Big White on Blu-ray Disc on - you guessed it - July 29th. Again retail will be $13.98, the Amazon price - only $8.95.

    So…where is Prison Break Season 2??

    That is a good question. I certainly hope it gets released. I have Season 1 and hope to watch that though eventually, and then move on to S2 and S3.

    I have heard, I forget where, that there is some concern about the capacity of the plants now that Paramount and Universal need to press discs, and that TV shows will get pushed back.

    I hope that Lost will get S1 and S2 releases also moving forward. That is another show that I never watched and would like to, especially with the Blu-ray quality.
