A lot of us have been waiting for this one for a while - the Criterion Collection will finally be released on Blu-ray was well as DVD starting in October.

This is a key move to many who have been waiting for the ‘classics’ to get Blu-ray release by a company that cares a lot about quality and great extras. Personally I am looking forward to titles like The Third Man, Chungking Express, The Last Emperor, The 400 Blows and Walkabout.

Other titles expected to get release are Bottle Rocket, The Man Who Fell to Earth, El Norte, Gimme Shelter, The Complete Monterey Pop, Contempt, For All Mankind and The Wages of Fear.
