Firefly Television Series to get Blu-ray Release

firefly.jpgTVShowsonDVD.com is reporting that Fox has confirmed with them that the cult series Firefly is due for a Blu-ray Disc release.

Apparently Jewel Staite revealed at the Supernova Pop Culture Expo in Australia that she had recently been asked to provide new commentary for what she called “a special edition of Firefly“.

TVShowsonDVD.com then contacted Fox for comment, and it was revealed that there will be a Blu-ray Disc release for the title.

Details are scarce, but this is certainly good news for Firefly fans. One can only hope that Universal release Serenity on Blu-ray also to complement this release.
