jumper.jpegWe have a number of new release announcements today.

For also has a pair of releases. The spoof comedy Meet The Spartans: Pit Of Death Edition will get the typical Fox treatment with AVC video and DTS Master Audio soundtrack as well as commentaries, featurettes and a trivia game. The title will released June 3rd, 2008 with a retail price of $39.98. Amazon have it listed for $27.95

A week later Fox will release Jumper on June 10th. Fox has loading this one up with extras including director commentary (Doug Liman), deleted scenes, four featurettes and an animated graphic novel. The featurette “Jumping Around the World Retail” will be Bonus View picture in picture enabled. The title also lists $39.98 and is also at the Amazon for $27.95

The following week Warner will be releasing the romantic comedy Fool’s Gold on June 17th. I saw this one in the cinema and felt that as far as the genre goes it was a strong title. This title will include a featurette and a gag real. Retail will be $35.99, or pre-order for $24.95 at Amazon

montana.jpgPerhaps the big news is the surprise live music hit Hannah Montana and Milye Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert - The 3-D Movie to be released by Disney August 19th, 2008. As well as a box office success, this title promises to be the first 3-D presentation on Blu-ray disc. Another surprise is that this disc will feature 7.1 LPCM audio - a first for Disney. I can only hope that Disney starts doing this for their movie releases also. Retail is listed as $34.99, but keeping the kids (?!) happy is cheaper at Amazon - only $23.95

Disney also has Camp Rock for release August 19th. This one looks to be a direct to video title. Retail is again $34.99, at Amazon for $23.95
