Blu-ray Disc Statistics - Blu-ray Software Market Share Vs. DVD and HD DVD
The following data is the market share of the top 20 Blu-ray Disc titles versus
top 20 DVD titles sold in the United States, as well as the revenue for the week.
This information is based on the Neilsen Videoscan first alert data as presented
by the Home Media Magazine each week.
Older data features the weekly, year to date and since inception percentages
that Blu-ray Discs hold of High Definition Media (HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs) sold
in the United States based on the Neilsen Videoscan first alert data as presented
by the Home Media Magazine each week.
Since mid-March 2008, the Year to Date HD Media ratio has been replaced by the
market share of the Top 20 Blu-ray titles versus the Top 20 DVD titles for the given week.
In May, all reference to HD DVD was dropped, replaced by Blu-ray Revenue information
